Seed cotton price based on its quality

Seed cotton quality has gradually worsened, due to the practice of buying the entire quantity at the same price from all ginning mills.

In 2018/19, the company began to set the price of the seed cotton it purchases based on its quality. More specifically, based on its cotton seed variety and the amount of moisture it contains.

As a result, in 2018/19 farmers were paid up to 6 cents per kg more compared to conventional cotton, while the average for farmers participating in Cotton+ was 3.6 cents per kg more
