1458 EST [Dow Jones]--Cotton futures on the ICE Futures U.S. exchange for
December delivery, already creating new record high prices, settled "limit up"
again, up 4 cents a pound at $1.4623 a pound. Traders and analysts are still
crediting high demand, particularly in China, for the fibrous crop's meteoric
and historic gains--the highest since the end of the U.S. Civil War. "There's
still no resistance from the end user, until they decide it's too much on the
physical end," said Sterling Smith, analyst with Country Hedging in St. Paul,
Minn.
