Post estimates marketing year (MY) 2019/20 cotton production at 29.3 million 480 lb. bales (37.6 million 170-kilogram bales/6.3 MMT) with a planting area of 13 million hectares, the highest ever on record, surpassing 12.8 million hectares in MY 2014/15. Significant rains in the past month have led to moderate to good conditions across growing regions, likely to improve yield prospects.
