U.S. EXPORT SALES FOR WEEK ENDING 11/7/2019

Cotton:  Net sales of 345,100 RB for 2019/2020--a marketing-year high--were up noticeably from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were primarily for Pakistan (117,000 RB), China (83,300 RB), Turkey (46,000 RB), Vietnam (29,400 RB, including 400 RB switched from Hong Kong), and Bangladesh (18,300 RB, including decreases of 400 RB).  For 2020/2021, total net sales of 1,100 RB were for Indonesia.  Exports of 126,200 RB were down 3 percent from the previous week and 13 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Exports were primarily to Pakistan (35,600 RB), Vietnam (31,100 RB), China (15,700 RB), Mexico (8,800 RB), and Turkey (8,000 RB).  Net sales of Pima totaling 11,900 RB were down 60 percent from the previous week and 25 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases primarily for Peru (4,800 RB), Bahrain (3,800 RB), Bangladesh (2,500 RB), India (1,700 RB), and Thailand (900 RB), were offset by reductions for China (2,200 RB).  For 2020/2021, total net sales of 600 RB were for Bahrain.  Exports of 3,200 RB were down 42 percent from the previous week and 58 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were India (1,000 RB), Thailand (1,000 RB), Indonesia (500 RB), and Japan (400 RB).   

Exports for Own account:  For 2019/2020, new exports for own account totaling 14,500 RB were to Pakistan (9,800 RB), Vietnam (3,800 RB), and Indonesia (900 RB).  Exports for own account totaling 14,600 RB to Pakistan (9,800 RB), Vietnam (3,900 RB), and Indonesia (900 RB) were applied to new or outstanding sales.  Decreases were reported for India (12,500 RB) and Vietnam (500 RB).  The current exports for own account outstanding balance of 21,400 RB is for India (16,800 RB), China (3,100 RB), and Vietnam (1,500 RB).
