U.S. EXPORT SALES FOR WEEKENDING 10/21/2010

Cotton:  Net Upland sales of 264,200 running bales were down 47 percent from the previous week and 56 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for China (112,500 RB), Turkey (52,600 RB), Bangladesh (22,700 RB), Vietnam (19,500 RB), and Indonesia (11,100 RB, including 600 RB switched from China and decreases of 2,700 RB).  Decreases were reported for El Salvador (1,700 RB).  Net sales of 10,700 RB for delivery in 2011/12 were mainly for Japan (3,200 RB), El Salvador (3,200 RB), and Peru (2,600 RB).  Exports for own account were reported for China (1,800 RB).  Exports of 120,800 RB were up 47 percent from the previous week, but down 5 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were China (44,200 RB), Mexico (26,700 RB), Indonesia (10,800 RB), and Bangladesh (6,400 RB).  Net American Pima sales of 11,800 RB were up noticeably from the previous week and 76 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for China (6,500 RB), South Korea (2,600 RB), and India (1,700 RB).  Decreases were reported for Japan (100 RB).  Net sales of 14,100 RB for delivery in 2011/12 were mainly for Pakistan (10,200 RB).  Exports of 600 RB were for Pakistan (300 RB), Mexico (200 RB), and Bangladesh (100 RB).
