U.S. EXPORT SALES FOR WEEKENDING 12/02/2010

Cotton:  Net Upland sales of 323,400 running bales were unchanged from the previous week, but down 15 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for China (157,500 RB), Turkey (53,900 RB), Bangladesh (23,500 RB), and Pakistan (22,900 RB).  Net sales of 60,700 RB for delivery in 2011/12 were mainly for China (49,400 RB) and Guatemala (6,800 RB).  Exports for own account were reported for China (4,500 RB).  Exports of 323,700 RB were up 65 percent from the previous week and 94 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were China (151,300 RB), Mexico (28,200 RB), Vietnam (23,900 RB), and Turkey (20,700 RB).  Net American Pima sales of 35,900 RB were down 5 percent from the previous week, but up 59 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for China (31,300 RB), Japan (3,000 RB), and Egypt (900 RB).  Net sales of 16,600 RB for delivery in 2011/12 were mainly for China (11,300 RB), Peru (2,600 RB), and Germany (1,700 RB).  Exports of 12,500 RB were primarily to China (3,300 RB), Pakistan (1,700 RB), Japan (1,500 RB), and Thailand (1,500 RB).
