Bremen Cotton Market
Selective Purchases
The slight decrease of the CIF Bremen index led to selective inquiries of the processing industry regarding nearby delivery; yet, the demanded quality requirements were hard to meet by the old crop without further ado. The industry was mostly not willing to compromise about the applied cotton. In addition the public holiday influenced the turnovers during the reported week. Thus the number of contracts was limited and strongly depended on the particular current incoming order situation.
Contracts were concluded for:
• Medium Staple Cotton:
West Africa for prompt and Brazil for the 4th quarter 2014.
•Long- and Extra-Long Staple Cotton:
No contracts reported.
