The quality control laboratory (HVI) of Thrakika Ekkokkistiria S.A. is now a certified laboratory by ICA Bremen, the international centre of excellence for cotton testing, research, quality training and certification.

The HVI laboratory of Thrakika has been in operation since 1994 and is essentially the first complete cotton testing laboratory that operated in a ginning plant in Greece. A key pillar of the company's export policy is the special bale sorting system: after being checked for their quality parameters in the laboratory, all bales are sorted into categories based on their quality characteristics and then placed in the warehouses according to their category. In this way, each bale of ginned cotton acquires its own identity.

Driven by our constant commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, the certification of our laboratory by ICA Bremen was a one-way street and acts as a global recognition of the quality and reliability of our services.

The quality control laboratory of Thrakika is now able to undertake tests on behalf of third parties, as well as to resolve quality disputes in accordance with ICA Bylaws & Rules, being an authorized laboratory capable of providing quality control services to the global cotton industry.
