Cotton: Net sales of 108,100 RB for 2019/2020 were down 23 percent from the previous week and 39 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases primarily for Turkey (60,500 RB), Pakistan (60,500 RB), Vietnam (31,400 RB, including 200 RB switched from Japan), South Korea (6,400 RB), and Bangladesh (5,600 RB), were partially offset by reductions primarily for Indonesia (60,000 RB), the Philippines (4,400 RB), and Hong Kong (1,100 RB). For 2020/2021, total net sales of 71,300 RB were for Indonesia. Exports of 149,000 RB were unchanged from the previous week, but down 1 percent from the prior 4-week average. Exports were primarily to Vietnam (46,200 RB), Indonesia (16,700 RB), Mexico (15,800 RB), Pakistan (11,200 RB), and China (9,900 RB). Net sales of Pima totaling 21,700 RB were up noticeably from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average. Increases primarily for India (9,000 RB), Pakistan (6,400 RB), China (1,800 RB), Thailand (1,800 RB), and El Salvador (1,500 RB), were partially offset by reductions for Switzerland (300 RB). Exports of 7,500 RB were down 32 percent from the previous week and 25 percent from the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were India (6,300 RB), Pakistan (400 RB), Austria (300 RB), and Peru (200 RB).
Exports for Own account: For 2019/2020, new exports for own account totaling 1,800 RB were primarily to Vietnam (700 RB), Thailand (500 RB), Taiwan (400 RB), and China (200 RB). Exports for own account totaling 2,100 RB to South Korea (1,100 RB), Thailand (500 RB), and Taiwan (400 RB) were applied to new or outstanding sales. Decreases were reported for India (1,000 RB). The current exports for own account outstanding balance of 39,800 RB is for India (34,900 RB), China (2,500 RB), and Vietnam (2,400 RB).
