Cotton: Net Upland sales of 97,100 running bales resulted as increases for Mexico (108,300 RB), Brazil (55,600 RB), Indonesia (40,200 RB, including 300 RB switched from Japan), Pakistan (31,300 RB), Japan (22,300 RB), Thailand (21,200 RB, including 700 RB switched from Japan), and South Korea (20,800 RB). Decreases were reported for China (224,800 RB). Net sales of 42,000 RB for delivery in 2011/12 were for Mexico (32,100 RB), Thailand (6,800 RB), and South Korea (3,100 RB). Exports for own account were reported for China (36,500 RB) and Turkey (6,900 RB). Exports of 182,500 RB were down 17 percent from the previous week and 25 percent from the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were China (74,700 RB), Mexico (23,800 RB), Turkey (18,300 RB), Bangladesh (11,700 RB), and Taiwan (11,000 RB). Net American Pima sales of 15,100 RB were up noticeably from the previous week. Increases were primarily for Indonesia (6,600 RB), China (3,900 RB), India (2,900 RB), and Switzerland (1,700 RB). Exports of 100 RB were for Mexico.
