Cotton: Net Upland sales of 321,900 running bales for delivery in 2009/10 were down 26 percent from the previous week, but up 8 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases were reported for China (123,900 RB), Turkey (58,800 RB, including 4,600 RB switched from China), Thailand (29,700 RB, including 900 RB switched from Japan), Mexico (28,900 RB), and Vietnam (16,800 RB). Net sales of 13,300 RB for delivery in 2010/11 were for Morocco (10,600 RB) and South Korea (2,700 RB). Exports of 197,100 RB were up 9 percent from the previous week and 53 percent from the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were China (69,900 RB), Mexico (32,300 RB), Turkey (31,300 RB), Indonesia (11,100 RB), and Vietnam (8,900 RB). Net American Pima sales of 11,300 RB were up noticeably from the previous week, but down 15 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases were primarily for China (5,000 RB), Pakistan (2,600 RB), Taiwan (2,000 RB), and India (1,000 RB). There were no sales reported for delivery in 2010/11. Exports of 25,900 RB were up 17 percent from the previous week, but down 20 percent from the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were China (8,300 RB), India (7,500 RB), South Korea (2,800 RB), Pakistan (2,600 RB), and Peru (2,000 RB).
