AKIPRESS.COM - Export of cotton by Uzbekistan in 2018 significantly declined compared to the previous year and made 1.6% in overall exports.

Uzbekistan exported 115,600 tons of cotton for $222.1 million in 2018, according to the State Statistics Committee.

In 2015, cotton exports made 5.9% of exports with 503,800 tons of cotton exported. In 2016, the country exported 416,000 tons of cotton. In 2017, cotton exports stood at 278,900 tons.

Uzbekistan exported cotton to Iran, China, Turkey, Russia, Latvia, Hong Kong in 2018, Kun.uz reports.
