Slight Stimulation

Since the end of the company holidays in the spinning industry, the number of enquiries has risen again. During the reported week the demand concentrated on near dates up to the end of the year in the first place. Enquiries for the 1st and 2nd quarter 2013 were hardly recorded und did not lead to further contracts. Many enquiries, though, served as price orientation only. Prices moved within a small frame on a stable level during the reported week.

The following contracts were closed:

• In the medium staple range: Cotton from Central Asia,Brazil and West Africa was ordered for prompt delivery. Descriptions from Greece, USAand Spain were sold for the 4th quarter 2012.

•In the extra-long staple range: The immediate need was satisfied by Giza 86, Giza 88 and Israel Pima.
