Calm Market

The CIF Bremen Index continued to move more or less sideways. Spinning mills were carefully watching the market development, but the uncertain price outlook kept many of them away from buying. Despite most of the noticed inquiries served to give a price indication a few contracts were closed in well-known and available qualities for nearby delivery. Some parts of the textile industry were still in company holidays in the reported week, which contributed to a limited business too.

Contracts were concluded for:

• Medium Staple Cotton:

Central Asia for the 3rd quarter and West Africa for the 4th quarter 2014.

•Long- and Extra-Long Staple Cotton:
