Price monitoring

The quotations in New York and on the domestic market have dropped further in the reporting week. The future development is uncertain and a general improvement will be expected by better yarn sales only. There were no new developments on the processing side since the last report. Company holidays are nearing and despite regular enquiries for quotations market participants remained in a wait and see attitude, disregarding single sales.

Turnovers were reported in Argentinian and US cotton for the 3rd quarter 2011, Spanish for the 4th quarter 2011 and Giza 86 for prompt delivery.
