Limited Availability
The demand predominantly increased in contrast to the previous week according to merchants' reports while some spinning industries have only collected information on the current cotton prices and the new crop, others have not been able to restrain from ordering anymore - in the hope for better prices - and, especially for immediate need, accepted perforce the unchanged high cotton prices. The fulfilment of demand was significantly aggravated by limited availability from the origin as well as from stock where delayed arrivals of cotton because of the development of the freight rates also led to shipping delays.
