Limited choice of Origins

The sales of upland cottons in the domestic market remained limited to the still available producing countries in Central Asia and West Africa. After the prices had consolidated on a high level contracts partly fixed for delivery in the second and third quarter 2010 could be concluded . There was still brisk interest in fine and extra-fine cottons for immediate delivery, in smaller quantities also for later.

In the Upland range were traded: Central Asian classes for prompt and further in the 2nd quarter 2010, West African styles for the same period of time.

From among the fine and extra-fine Varieties were sold: Egyptian GIZA 88 and GIZA 86 for prompt and further in the 2nd quarter 2010; Sudan Barakat for the same period of time, Israel Pima and ACALPI additionally from the new crop in the 4th quarter 2010..
