The spinning industry was only willing to close cotton contracts for prompt delivery after receipt of yarn-orders since it has been continuously difficult to incorporate the raw material price in the yarn price.
Medium staple cotton from West Africa was ordered for near dates as well as for the 1st quarter and from Argentina for near dates only while descriptions fromGreece were purchased for the 1st quarter 2012.
LS/ELS-need was satisfied by the following descriptions: Egyptian Giza 86and Giza 88 as well as cotton from Spain for prompt delivery.
