The ITMF annual conference 2011 will address issues currently affecting the global textile industry such as soaring raw material prices, volatile markets and debts crises, in Barcelona next month.
The conference theme – ΅New paradigms in the global textile industryΆ - reflects the challenges facing the global textile industry including currency disputes, political instability and the unfinished Doha-Round.
Twenty-three experts, covering the worldwide textile value chain, will give presentations during the conference and the subsequent World Textile Summit. Discussion topics will include the future of cotton, perspectives for the manmade fibre market, supply chain dynamics, technical textiles, retailing and the World Trade OrganisationΆs (WTO) perspective on the international textiles trade.
The ITMF annual conference will be held from September 19-20, prior to the start of ITMA 2011 (September 22-29). The World Textile Summit will be held on September 21.
