The cotton market is trying to evolve against a backdrop of massive sales of Brazilian cotton.

Spinning mills are active, but it is not certain that margins will be there. As already envisaged, the introduction of BACA should support US cotton exports.

Some are already anticipating the suspension of import taxes in India, which could cause a surge in the market, but not before April 2026.

Sowing season is fast approaching and it is becoming difficult to make choices for future harvests. All markets are "weak" and it is difficult to look six months ahead to know the state of demand for each product. The time for arbitration is coming, and with it a host of uncertainties in the face of two agricultural giants, India and Brazil. In some areas, cotton cultivation is vital, while in others it is merely strategic.
