Cotton:  Net Upland sales of 293,500 running bales for delivery in 2009/10 were down 53 percent from the previous week and 11 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for China (192,600 RB), Turkey (28,200 RB), Vietnam (19,300 RB), Taiwan (13,200 RB), and Japan (11,500 RB, including 600 RB switched from unknown destinations).  Decreases were reported for Morocco (1,000 RB) and Italy (400 RB).  Net sales of 240,700 RB for delivery in 2010/11 were mainly for China (76,900 RB), Turkey (39,800 RB), Indonesia (26,600 RB), and Japan (26,000 RB).  Exports of 260,400 RB were up 15 percent from the previous week, but down 7 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were China (63,000 RB), Mexico (42,500 RB), Turkey (34,300 RB), Vietnam (26,700 RB), Taiwan (18,900 RB), and Indonesia (16,100 RB).  Net American Pima sales of 1,900 RB were up noticeably from the previous week and 50 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Italy (1,000 RB), Thailand (500 RB), and Japan (300 RB).  Net sales of 500 RB for delivery in 2010/11 were for Indonesia.  Exports of 5,000 RB were up noticeably from the previous week and 33 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Japan (2,500 RB), India (1,000 RB), Belgium (500 RB), and Germany (400 RB).
