Cotton:  Net Upland sales of 499,300 running bales were down 9 percent from the previous week and 17 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for China (163,000 RB, including 10,000 RB switched from Mexico and decreases of 6,600 RB), Vietnam (135,300 RB), Turkey (113,300 RB), Indonesia (15,700 RB), and Colombia (14,600 RB).  Decreases were reported for Mexico (18,300 RB).  Net sales of 66,100 RB for delivery in 2011/12 were mainly for Japan (28,200 RB), Turkey (17,600 RB), and Thailand (11,900 RB).  Exports for own account were reported for China (1,800 RB) and Turkey (200 RB).  Exports of 82,500 RB were down 5 percent from the previous week and 39 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were China (16,700 RB), Mexico (12,600 RB), Thailand (9,200 RB), and Indonesia (6,800 RB).  Net American Pima sales of 4,200 RB were up noticeably from the previous week, but down 57 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for South Korea (2,000 RB), China (1,300 RB), and Mexico (700 RB).  Net sales of 31,300 RB for delivery in 2011/12 were mainly for India (10,400 RB), South Korea (8,200 RB), Japan (5,100 RB), and Indonesia (5,100 RB).  Exports of 4,100 RB were primarily to Peru (2,000 RB) and India (1,500 RB).
